Parent? Teacher? Youth Minister? Provided you have parent or guardian releases, we have several great options for adults working with young people between the ages of 14 and 18 years, including a January Safety Hackathon Gallery. Find out more by ... asking us!
Are you a professional in law, health care, mental health care, or ministry who is seeking PCE units? Or someone keeping certain certifications up-to-date? Ask us about what we offer in relation to our programming in partnership with leading institutes.
Spirit Fire publishes a free magazine which includes reflections and researched articles on awareness and protections for abuse of children and vulnerable adults, on pastoral care programs, and on trauma-informed care and ministries integrating faith and recovery.
Many parishes and dioceses offer discussion groups or workshops for people trying to process the impact of abuse for, e.g., survivors and families, clergy and religious, lay people. On a limited basis, Spirit Fire survivors are available to join parish or diocesan events as speakers or on survivor panels to talk about the scope of our work. Currently, we do not travel due to pandemic issues. We are available for virtual events which meet our basic criteria. If you're interested, Teresa is glad to talk to you about programming.
All our guests have all agreed to waive any fee they normally charge. Thanks to this generosity largess, and that of our sponsors, this Spirit Fire Global Broadcast Series on Abuse and Faith is free of charge, from launch to completion. They have not waived any related earnings, such as book royalties where we mention their book during an interview or on the broadcast page.
We want to state explicitly that not every single thing related to this broadcast is free; e.g.g pinwheels for prevention or books which we mention or recommend. We receive no money or compensation for mentioning products, except where we mention books written by Spirit Fire survivors (e.g., Mike Hoffman or Teresa Pitt Green), royalties have not been waived by authors.
For the sake of full disclosure, from time to time we provide convenient links to reputable retail or wholesale option(s) where we recommend a book or product; e.g., amazon. You are not required to purchase from the source! Spirit Fire may earn moneys on purchases, but only as part of a standard public and transparent affiliate program. All moneys earned are used to cover the cost of the broadcast which is sizable.
If you have abundance from which you wish to support our work, we welcome that generosity. Please see various ways you may donate. We are not currently a nonprofit. This gift will not be tax deductible.
